JAVAREE TALKS

By safeguarding your energy, you empower yourself to present your best self to the world, fostering a sense of inspiration and motivation.

This month, I joined a basketball workout class, the first time I’d picked up and shot a ball in years. I traded multiple loads of laundry for one hour with a co-ed group who just wanted to play hard and get a good sweat in. I wasn’t available for that block of time, but aside from the muscle soreness, I came home lighter, present, and ready to play later in the day.

That one choice reminded me that energy isn’t only about rest, it’s also about doing the things that fill you up.

Protecting your energy is not about being selfish. It is about being sustainable. When you’re fueled, you set the tone for your household, and when you’re drained, the household feels that too.

This week, empower yourself by exchanging one energy-draining task for something that rejuvenates you. Whether it’s a workout, a leisurely walk, or just 20 minutes of peaceful solitude, these small daily actions add up and put you in the driver’s seat of your energy management.

By sharing this simple message with your loved ones, you not only reinforce the importance of protecting your energy but also foster a sense of understanding and support within your household.
